Father, unite them (John 17:20 to 26)
Jesus ends this intimate prayer to his Father with some amazing words. He prays for people like us – people who believed because of the witness of the disciples. He prays we may be united with each other because we are united with the Father and the Son, and as a consequence the world will know the reality of the gospel. He then closes the prayer with a shockingly beautiful declaration that he actually wants us to be with him in glory, and to know God now in our daily lives as we experience his love.
