Christ Church Advocacy

Christ Church Advocacy offers a free advocacy service designed to help people in the Haywards Heath area who are struggling with multiple complex problems.

How we can help

We work with people to stabilise their affairs, seeking first to understand the root causes of their issues and then helping develop a plan to resolve the real issues that persistently block their progress. As advocates, we then hand-hold our clients through the process of implementing their plan. This may include navigating the bureaucracy of the welfare system, filling in complex forms, defending their rights, challenging unfair decisions, dealing with unaffordable debt and finding ways to get the care they need.

The typical issues we help with include:

  • Money and debt
  • Benefits
  • Housing
  • Adult Social Care
  • NHS

How we work

The Christ Church Advocacy team is the result of a partnership between Christ Church Haywards Heath and Grace Advocacy. All our advocates are volunteers from Christ Church who benefit from the training, support, and resources of Grace Advocacy and are subject to its policies, procedures and management. We have a team based approach and regularly benefit from expertise in other parts of the Grace Advocacy network.
