‘Your kingdom come, your will be done…’
Prayer is talking to God about the things that matter to him; and the things that matter to us. God is our Father in heaven; we want his name to be honoured

1. May your kingdom come
God’s kingdom is people living under the rule of God’s king – Jesus Christ

We ask God that many people would be following Christ as Saviour and Lord

Ask God to bring many people under the good and gracious rule of Christ

Pray for our friends; family and neighbours and all around the world to follow Jesus
Tell your friends about Jesus because you love God and love people and think the gospel is the best news for everyone
We ask God that Christ would come back soon

2. May your will be done
In heaven God is surrounded by angels who worship him and do exactly what he wants them to do – we pray that for earth

We pray for people to obey God
We want to go God’s way
It is the prayer that Jesus prays before he dies on the Cross

To pray this prayer, we need to stop building our own kingdoms; and servicing our own desiresplayer above.
