Speak Lord (1 Samuel 3:1 to 4:1)

Graham Nicholls

Speak LORD, for your servant is listening

It was a dark time but God graciously starts to speak to the willing listener Samuel who becomes a prophet in Israel empowered by God. We need to be eager listeners, receptive to God speaking to us. We hear from God in the Bible but especially through the willing servant and faithful prophet Jesus. We have a prophetic ministry – bringing God’s word to others – faithfully, boldly, in the power of the Holy Spirit.
