Week of Prayer – starts Monday 5th January

“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18

As a Church we want to ensure that we seek to do all things in the strength of the Lord rather than in our own strength. We want to be those who are utterly dependent on our Heavenly Father and not on ourselves and to be those who are continually praying and giving thanks as encouraged to do so in 1 Thess 5:16-18. As such we seek to set aside a ‘week of prayer’ at the beginning of each year in January and then a day of prayer in September at the beginning of the term. These special seasons of prayer complement the on-going rhythm of weekly corporate prayer in our Community Groups, Prayer Meetings and Sunday services. This week at the beginning of the year gives us an opportunity to ‘rest in Him’ and to seek to ‘listen to Him’ for the year ahead. So please take every opportunity to join us in this week. Pencil the dates and times into your new diary now!”

We are intentionally using a number of different time-slots to enable as many as possible to attend. You will need to refer carefully to this booklet. The areas listed for prayer are only guidelines – please feel free to pray in any meeting for things not mentioned here! Please make it your aim to spend extra time in prayer this week.

All meetings are at the Church building, apart from Tuesday evening when we will meet in our Community groups.
